In the edict proclaiming the ascension to the throne of the Shunzhi Emperor, several officials responsible for the founding of the Qing dynasty were to be given aristocratic status which was to be inherited indefinitely. As a detailed list of recipients was not included in the edict, this communication was written by the ministry of personnel, seeking advice from the Inner Court to follow up on this measure.
