Proclamation of the Ascension to the Throne of the Yongzheng Emperor

On November 13th, 1722, the heavily sick Kangxi Emperor made a quick yet determinate  decision to name his 4th son, Yinzhen, as the successor to the throne.  A proclamation of the ascension to the throne was announced seven days later by the newly-ascended emperor Yongzheng.  The edict mentioned about how former Crown Prince In Ceng (Han Chinese: Yinreng) was deposed twice due to insanity, and emphasized that the Kangxi Emperor had entrusted the responsibilities of looking after the empire to In Jen (Han Chinese: Yinzhen).  The Yongzheng Emperor also vowed in this edict that all the good policies installed by his predecessors should be followed and were not be changed.
