Command Edict on Persuading Koxinga Followers to Change Their Allegiance and Capturing Koxinga

After the breakdown of negotiations with Koxinga, the Qing court issued this command edict to the governors of Jiangnan, Zhejiang, Fujian, and Guangdong regions, announcing that any of Koxinga’s followers who were willing to surrender would be offered official positions while the person who captured or killed Koxinga would be rewarded with a rank of hereditary nobility.
