The Genre Paintings of Taiwan’s Aboriginal Peoples: Planting Taro
The aboriginal peoples of Taiwan cultivated plants in a similar fashion to neighbouring Southeast Asian peoples. Taro was a staple crop. The aborigines in this picture lived in Hongsoan County, high amidst the high mountains of Southern Taiwan. They wear deer skin clothing.
