Bronze Spoon

This bronze spoon is an implement for ladling water. Several have been discovered alongside vessels, indicating its function. Parallel lines ornament its handle and the mouth of the spoon lacks any kind of motif or ornamental patterns. A small hole is on the end of the handle. It has a capacity of 10 ml. Researchers have been able to deduce that this bronze spoon was likely used with the Pou Lidded Stoneware Vase (R000171) to ladle out water for either drinking or washing.
