Records of the Metropolitan Examination
After the conclusion of the provincial and metropolitan examinations, records, typically prefaced and postfaced by the chief and associate examination officials, respectively, were submitted to the Ministry and Rites and later stored in the Grand Secretariat Archives. Their contents typically comprise the officials administering the exam, exam questions, name and rank of successful candidates, and exemplary answers.
