Diary of the Envoy to Sichuan
In his Diary of the Envoy to Sichuan, author Fang Xiangying, chief examination official of the Sichuan provincial examination in 1683, detailed the routes he took during his official travels spanning several months, as well as the scenic sites and local customs he had encountered. The diary thus records aspects of the exam process, the social interactions of local gentry, and travel experiences in Sichuan.
