Among the wooden documents from Edsen-gol we also find a considerable number of personal letters, such as this one. A certain P’eng is requesting that Chang Tzu-ch’un take a letter to Tzu-hou. He is seeking to explain that he has received Tzu-hou’s New Year’s gift, but due to illness is unable to return the politeness and pay a visit to convey his New Years greeting personally.
