Bamboo Divination Blocks
These divination blocks are cast during rituals. Similar to those used in Han folk religions, their orientation—face up or down—is interpreted to discern the will of the gods. Although not acquired from the Miao of western Hunan, this set closely resembles ritual objects found among Miao communities in that region.
