Mysteries between Strokes|Finding History between Observation and Imagination
Subtle stroke after subtle stroke, the work seemingly reaches perfection—
What could be missing?
Whether deliberately concealed or an innocuous misstep, the blanks are—
An unfinished story.
Confronted by a “Genre Painting of Taiwan’s Aboriginal Peoples” with a missing piece,
That which is in your hand is the secret lost in time.
Whether following the clues to restore the original work or creating a different story,
The answer lies between observation and imagination.
The mystery found between strokes is waiting to be solved.

Concept
This activity uses the “Genre Painting of Taiwan’s Aboriginal Peoples” exhibition organized by the MIHP as its core theme. Participants use the “corner of a painting” as a clue, and through a guided tour presented as a classic mystery investigation, observe the story as well as social and cultural connotations therein, finally reimagining the image of the cultural relic.
