Bronze Bosses
Chariot fittings were often embellished with numerous bosses. Of the clay molds for bosses discovered, R016828 has a star pattern, and both R016827 and R016878:11 have carved animal mask patterns. R016892 features branched channels that connect to several semi-spherical bosses (namely knobs on the back), which can be covered with outer mold with various patterns for casting. R016669 is the model of a large boss with the same recessed pattern both on the back as on the front.
