Patent by Ordinance (Gaoming) Granting the Son of Defender Duke the Title of Bulwark General of the State
According to the Qing code, the patent by the ordinance was bestowed by the emperor or obtained through inheritance with no limitation on generations, conferring titles of honor on officials of the fifth rank or higher. The title of Bulwark General of the State was conferred to officers of the second rank.
