Documentation Set of Liu Biao Applying for the Bereavement Leave
In order to receive permission for leave for the bereavement of deceased parents, officials were required to clearly state their relation to the deceased family member (in case of adoption and stepparents) in order to acquire a statement of permission from the superior. In addition to a statement from the direct superior, testimonies from neighbors were also needed.
