Communication (Yihui) from the Ministry of Rites
In the Qing Dynasty, yihui referred to the correspondences between central government offices in Beijing. The yihui in display explained how imperial edicts were announced. Envoys were selected by the Ministry of Rites and were assigned with the places where they would cover and a timeline for their travels would be confirmed. The envoys would obtain the imperial edicts from the Ministry of Rites before their departures from the capital, and were required to complete their trips within the said timeframe.
