II-2 TransPhone Stand

“TransPhone Stand” takes inspiration from the Sculpture in the Shape of Two Crouching Tigers of the Shang dynasty. Its remarkable design and shape depict two decorative animals joined at the hips, and its flat surface suggests it was used as a seat. This modern alteration allows the two animals to slide, get up, and sit still, making it a perfect smartphone stand.

Despite not always being able to conform to the demands of modern life, the designs, forms, and functionality of historical objects still elicit astonishment. Their refined ingenuity not only serves as a muse for contemporary creative works, but with the help of modern design conceptions, can turn another corner, applying new meanings and joys—a crowning touch.
