Pottery Skin Scrapers
These pottery skin scrapers were used to scrape or rub away dirt and dead skin. The size and shape of the five objects are roughly the same: round, flat, and slightly convex. The scrapers are coarse with elongated or checkered lines running across, and item R001614 shows signs of wear and tear from use. A curved handle is on the back and the scrapers are ornamented with continuous triangular patterns. Due to their coarseness, researchers have been able to deduce their function.
