Ting Cauldron with Single Handle

This single-handled small cauldron is a vessel for drawing and pouring hot water, which can also be used to add heat. It is very similar in both shape and function to the two single-handled cauldrons unearthed from sacrificial pit M1435. It has a capacity of 2,975 ml, or approximately the same capacity of the Pou Lidded Stoneware Vase (R000171). Therefore, water drawn from this single-handled cauldron could be poured into the stoneware vase for use.
