Ministry of Justice Case on the Counterfeit State Student Certificate

Jiansheng would receive their “state student certificate” after contributing taels. However, considering the complex and time-consuming nature of the process, “contribution agencies” in the form of individuals or organizations gradually emerged. The defendant in the case on display here, Wu Tinggui, encountered the offender, Chen Shansan, on the former’s journey to Beijing to deliver the necessary documents and contribution when operating as an agent. The case accuses Chen and Wu of conspiring together to reproduce the state student certificate and defraud the owner of his taels.
