Ink Sketch of the Wrapper with Dragon Design for Mukden Archives
According to the Qing code, Veritable Records were written in three languages: Manchurian, Chinese, and Mongolian. Five copies were made and stored in different locations. The one kept at Mukden, the original capital of the Manchus, would be wrapped in a specific wrapper with dragon design as this sketch.
