Wooden Slips Used as Fuel

Located on the periphery, the frontier regions of the Han dynasty used local resources well. Cooking, heating, and other daily life activities required fuel. Slips were a resource often used to make fires, evidenced by the large number of wooden slips with burn marks discovered at Edsen-gol. It is then easy to presume that there were many more slips completely burned to ashes.
